BCD996XT Frequency Display Modes

Can anyone advise on how to get the rf frequency that it stops on, or how to set the display to show it? trying to keep track of which alpha tags are associated with a tag is a mind blower.

When Updating to these firmware updates,
You do not need to enter a registration key When prompted not a major update.

v1.04.00
This update makes the following changes to your BCD996XT scanner:
1. Add support for storing Unit IDs in channels with alpha tags.
2. Fixed a problem where corrupted memory caused by a bad PC programming upload would make the scanner lock up on the copyright screen.
3. Save Hold status immediately instead of at power-down.
4. Add ATT indication in Close Call Only mode
5. Fixed a bug that could cause APCO P25 decoding to stop in some conditions.

BCD996XT Quick Keys

Hello all.....I have a quick question about accessing the syste quick keys and quick keys within a group....First off, the system quick keys after 0-9......How do you access them after 0? Obviously I know how to do 0-9....You just hit the approprate number for that system you program for that key(i.e. Omaha is set for 0, so when I am ready to listen to Omaha, I just hit 0 to add it to my active scan list, and vice versa when I am ready to turn it off....But I do not know how to access any systems after 9. If someone with the knowledge can help me out, that would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, how to access a quick key for a certain group within a system.

A look at what material and hardware is included with the Uniden Bearcat BCD996XT scanner.

Uniden Bearcat BCD996XT Overview

UNIDEN BCD996XT Using the Unit ID Feature

The Unit ID (UID) feature lets you see the unit ID of the radio currently transmitting on Motorola, EDACS, and APCO P25 systems. To see the Unit ID, you need to first turn on the global Unit ID option in the Settings menu.
  1. Press MENU.
  2. Scroll to SETTINGS and press E/yes.
  3. Scroll to Disp. Unit ID and press E/yes.
  4. Scroll to On and press E/yes.
When turned on, in Display Modes 1 and 2 the scanner will alternate the current channel information and the Unit ID information in Line 2 of the display. In Display Mode 3, the scanner will display the Unit ID information on Line 3 of the display. If you program a Unit ID into a channel, you can assign an Alpha to the Unit ID. You program a Unit ID just like an iCall ID (press ./no then the Unit ID).
Notes:
  • In some cases where you catch a transmission already in progress you will not see the Unit ID.
  • In some cases where a second party responds to a transmission before the channel is released, you will not see the second party's Unit ID and will continue to see the first party's Unit ID.
